Description
Driving south for about 4 miles from the Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway then take a left turn onto US-276. This is the road towards Brevard that will take you past Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls.
Located deep in Pisgah National Forest on the Forest Heritage Scenic Byway is the Cradle of Forestry in America Heritage Site. One can explore the beautiful grounds, top notch exhibits and historic buildings of the first forestry school in America.
The Cradle of Forestry was home to the Biltmore Forest School, founded in 1898. It's a great place to explore with many things to do to learn about nature, culture and history of these mountains.
The area is a photographer's paradise!
