Description
In the Great Smoky mountains, this house belongs to The Cradle of Forestry heritage site which was home to the Biltmore Forest School. The Cradle of Forestry was founded in 1898 and is located near Asheville, North Carolina. It's a great place to explore with many things to do to learn about nature, culture and history of these mountains.
To find the site - while on the Blue Ridge Parkway from the Pisgah Inn drive south for about 4 miles then take a left turn onto US-276. This is the road towards Brevard that will take you past two well known waterfalls, Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls.
Located deep in Pisgah National Forest on the Forest Heritage Scenic Byway is the Cradle of Forestry in America Heritage Site. One can explore the beautiful grounds, top notch exhibits and historic buildings of the first forestry school in America.
