Walking through the beautiful Lower Antelope Canyon near Page in Arizona was such a thrill, especially having been on a photography tour (which then allowed tripods). It can be very dusty within the canyon so take care in changing lenses! There are so many images to be had, it was such a joy to see the imaginative figures and faces in the rock as well as those areas that offered a view skywards. Antelope Canyon was formed by the erosion of Navajo Sandstone due to flash flooding and other sub-aerial processes. Rainwater runs into the vast basin above the slot canyon sections, picking up speed and sand as it rushes into the narrow passageways. Over time the passageways have eroded away, which has deepened the corridors and smoothed hard edges to form those wonderful "flowing" shapes. *************************************************** Featured in the following FAA Groups: "Fine Arts Professionals" 04/17/2020 "National Parks" 02/21/2020 "Orange-Yellow-Red Photos and Paints" 02/15/2020...
Having enjoyed photography for over 30 years, I got my first serious DSLR in 2009. Landscape, nature and travel photography excite me the most, but there's still room for macro photography. My favorite subject is waterfalls, especially in the fall. Capturing great photographs takes a lot of commitment, plenty of resources, a keen eye and most important a love of photography. My photographs are appropriate for home and business use, and suitable for advertising too. If you see something that you like, please Vote for, Favorite, leave a comment, or even Buy an image! To those of you who find something to purchase I would like to show my sincere gratitude and appreciation. Thank you so much! Also, thank you for taking the time to view...
