Comet Neowise is traveling at about 40 miles per second (that's about 144,000 mph, or 231,000 km/h). This image was captured on 20th July 2020 in County Tipperary, Ireland as the comet's visibility is beginning to wane. Clouds, seen as an orange colour, are creeping in from the left, so within another minute all visibility was gone.

Having enjoyed photography for over 30 years, I got my first serious DSLR in 2009. I now capture images with a Nikon D850. My photographs are appropriate for home and business use, and suitable for advertising too. If you see something that you like, please Vote for, Favorite, leave a comment, or even Buy an image! To those of you who find something to purchase I would like to show my sincere gratitude and appreciation. Thank you so much! Also,...
