Description
Tower Butte is one of nature's most unique of rock formations and is located near the town of Page in Arizona near to Lake Powell. It stands at 5,000 feet above sea level.
This photograph was taken on a helicopter tour from Page as we were about land on top of this amazing natural structure rising from the desert earth. We touched down on the top and were able to walk around and experience breathtaking 360-degree views. You can see the Canyons of Lake Powell, Navajo Mountain, LeChee Rock and so much more.
Tower Butte is only accessible by helicopter, but this is one ride that is so well worth it!
Other wonderful locations in the area not to be missed are Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons and Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River.
