Artist's Description
Sung Sot is the largest in cave Halong Bay and probably the best known. It draws visitors from far and wide especially those who are touring the bay on the many types of cruise ships.
When we visited the area there was fog which blotted out much of the detail of the karsts (limestone rock formations), of which there are many thousands. It is inside one of these karst that this cave is to be found.
Karst are extraordinary formations and there are 1,969 sunken limestone towers submerged in the indigo waters of Halong Bay. Inside many are a series of ancient caves and grottoes, many of which remained unexplored.

About Rob Hemphill
Having enjoyed photography for over 30 years, I got my first serious DSLR in 2009. I now capture images with a Nikon D850. Landscape, nature and travel photography excite me the most, but there's still room for macro photography. My favorite subject is waterfalls, especially in the fall. Capturing great photographs takes a lot of commitment, plenty of resources, a keen eye and most important a love of photography. My photographs are appropriate for home and business use, and suitable for advertising too. If you see something that you like, please Vote for, Favorite, leave a comment, or even Buy an image! To those of you who find something to purchase I would like to show my sincere gratitude and appreciation. Thank you so much! Also,...
