Description
While returning from an early morning visit to Schwabacher's Landing near Jackson Hole in Wyoming, I saw this moose foraging in the Snake River. The sun had risen but the air was still and cool.
The Snake River gently meanders beneath the rugged Grand Teton mountains and is a wonderful habitat for animals and birds.
Schwabacher's Landing is located under the Grand Teton Mountains in Wyoming on a calm stretch of the Snake River and is about 16 miles north of Jackson Hole on I-89.
This location is a major photo opportunity spot in Grand Teton National Park. If you're lucky enough you could see coyote, antelope, and deer among the trees - as well as the occasional moose!. And perhaps if you are really really lucky you could catch the sight of an otter in the water or see eagles soaring overhead.
