Description
An abandoned old homestead near Trenton in North Carolina stood proudly in 2012, but I read that sadly this house has since been demolished. I think it's such a shame to wipe away these historic pieces of architecture from the land. After all, this is how future generations learn about the past, the agriculture and the people, apart from their decaying majesty for us photographers!
A small field of cotton, soon to be harvested, can be seen behind the house.

Rob, Great detailed capture of this old abandoned homestead, which is really showing its age. I agree with you it should not have been demolished and should have been preserved for future generations to learn about the past
